In a Galaxy Far Far Away… children gathered round the big screens to watch larger than life Jedi’s fight against The Empire, in the battle of The Light vs The Dark Side!

Since March 25th 1977, our beloved Estar Guars has reigned supreme. We were in our own elite club of Star Wars fandom! From movies, animated series, lightsabers, to now amusement parks rides, TV Series and more!

Imagine our delight when we saw our gente represented as no other than a Padawan, the Rebel Alliance, and even a Bounty Hunter!

When the franchise rebooted, we were all graced and amazed by our own Guatemalan-American; Oscar Issac as Poe! It was definitely a W for us!

Then in Rogue One, Diego Luna enters as Cassian, who did not even try to hide his Mexican Accent!!

Now we feast our eyes on the newest Vanity Fair, June edition as they unveil what’s in store for the Star Wars Universe.

The cover reads “The Revolution will be Televised “ and we have not ONE, but three Latino main Characters!!

From left to right we have; Nuyorican Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano,  Chilean born Pedro Pascual as The Mandalorian,  Scottish born Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi, and lastly Mexican Born Diego Luna as Cassian Andor!

For those not keeping track (but I know you were!) That’s THREE wins for our gente and Representation!

In the words of Kylo Ren, “We want more, more More!” of our Latine Representation!

With the newest series, “Obi Wan Kenobi”. The spectrum of BIPOC actors is incredible! But if that wasn’t enough, the show itself is EPIC!!!!

I am anxiously anticipating the next episode and the next wave of representation Disney and Lucas Film has to offer us!

Until then mi gente, May the Force be with you!
