The Latin pop star Shakira has had no shortage of drama in the press over the last few years. From the super bowl to tax evasion, Shakira has had no reason to not be in the spotlight.
Last week, her husband became the topic of media discussion after he was discovered to be cheating on Shakira. The Colombian songwriter realized her spouse was being disloyal from a very interesting clue, a jar of strawberry jam in the fridge.
Upon coming home from the end of her tour Shakira returned to her Los Angeles home welcomed by her husband Pique and two kids. Pique, a retired FC Barcelona Player, and Shakira have had issues in the past already leaving their relationship in a jam.
Shakira then found what she believed was evidence of her husband having an affair, which is what makes the story interesting. The evidence she found was not another woman’s hair brush or underwear, but an empty jar of her favorite strawberry jam in the fridge.
This lone empty jar of jam presence was enough for Shakira to come to the conclusion that Pique was having an affair. She knew that nobody in their house ate this jam beside herself.
It had become clear to the Colombian pop star that someone unknown had been helping themselves to her food. After confronting her husband about the empty jar of jam she caught on to other things that someone had been sticking their hands into.
Since the jar broke, Shakira has moved to a Miami property and has taken shots at her now ex-husband in her new song “Te Felicito” where the music video shows the male artist she is collaborating with as a head in the fridge, as if he were a jar of jam. Along with spicy lyrics directed towards an unnamed man that have keen similarities to the actions of her recent ex.
More recently, Shakra even posted a TikTok of her and two others dancing to the new song. In the short TikToc post, the song has lines that are directed to Pique and fans are going crazy over it. People in the comments are either bashing Pique or sharing their excitement for Shakira’s new revenge era.
