Mexico is known for its beautiful culture,traditional foods, drinks, and tequila of course. One particular drink that is super popular all around Mexico is their cantarito drink. This drink is originally from Jalisco, Mexico and was named cantarito after the clay vessel in which it’s traditionally served in. The cantarito is also known as a paloma and has become extremely popular in the US. There have been many recreations and twists to it but the original cantarito drink ingredients include tequila, squirt, limes, oranges and lemon using a ceramic cup with chamoy and tajin on the rim, topping it off with salt.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of Tequila
- Chamoy and Tajin
- 1 can of Squirt citrus soda or grapefruit flavor soda
- Fresh orange, lime and lemon
- Pinch of salt
